Background:
In March 1977, Philip joined forces with friend Brian Corban to establish Corban Revell Lawyers in Henderson.
Since 2003, with the firm now housing over 30 staff and several highly skilled partners, Philip took the role of Consultant – offering specialist counsel to clients and partners alike on a wide range of professional issues.
Specialisation:
Philip has been a key figure at Corban Revell in the litigation of trustee and beneficiary disputes and the relationship between matrimonial property and trusts . He has also been appointed to act for infant beneficiaries in applications to vary trusts, and worked extensively on attacks on wills and testamentary trusts.
Outside CR:
Beyond his exemplary and well-known involvement with the legal profession including membership and in some cases as Convener of a number of Law Society Committees, Philip has also had a significant impact on his local West Auckland community through long-term (and ongoing) commitments to a wide variety of trusts and institutions – from Chairmanship of the Hospice HomeCare to periods of service with the Citizens’ Advice Bureaux of Avondale, Henderson and Massey.
As recently as November 2006, Philip was awarded a citation by the Mayor of Waitakere City in recognition of his 20 years’ dedication and service on the West Auckland Hospice HomeCare. Philip has also received the honour of being inducted into the Waitakere City Business Hall of Fame for services to business in Waitakere City.
